The modern-day BioBax has its roots in companies and people that have a shared belief in problem-solving and innovation
1994
Aqua Air was founded in 1994 in Leeds, Yorkshire to sell innovative, water-filtration based cleaning machines which would exceed the performance of all other cleaning machines.
1998
Barry acquires 1/3 of the business and the company starts to grow! The business moves to its own office at Denfield Smithy, Cheshire.
1999
Zybax is developed by Dominic Barnes in Dewsbury, Yorkshire
2000
Zybax is launched with 3 bacteria-based products; OdourMaster, ClogMaster and PottiMaster!
2005
Aqua Air work with an industrial chemist to develop an innovative range of world class, cleaning solutions (the Xtra range) to complement the cleaning machines. Each Xtra product (starting with XtraClean) was designed to deliver a “wow factor”.
2007
Installed 1st production line.
2008
Developed 1st Ready-To-Use microbiological cleaning spray.
2014
Zybax moves to our current home in Skelmanthorpe, Yorkshire
2018
Aqua Air refocuses its business on the Xtra range of cleaning solutions and launches its “cleaning by colours” a simple colour coded guide to cleaning.
2019
Zybax’s parent company is sold off and Zybax is acquired by the newly formed BioBax
2020
XtraProtect was tested as effective against Covid-19 on different human and hard surfaces and sales increased dramatically.
2020
A new look for Zybax
2021
BioBax is fully certified for ISO 9001 & ISO 14001
2021
The Learning Centre is launched.
2022
The sale of Aqua Air was agreed to Biobax, a Company who shared the founding values of Aqua Air for world class cleaning solutions and had a complementary range of products and solutions.
2022
Aqua Air Ltd is acquired by BioBax Ltd. The companies shared the same founding values for world class cleaning solutions and had a complementary range of products and solutions.
2023
New Website XtraSolutions is Launched
2023
XtraRange begins a label refresh and new products added to the range.
