Environmental and Packaging Policy

As an organisation that, since its’ inception, has built its business and reputation on environmental responsibility, we recognise that day-to-day operations can impact both directly and indirectly on the environment. We aim to protect and improve the environment through good management and by adopting best practise wherever possible.

We will work to integrate environmental considerations into our business decisions and adopt green alternatives wherever possible.

In all our activities, we aspire to:
• Comply with all relevant environmental legislation, codes of practise and regulations
• Establish and review environmental objectives based on this policy
• Communicate our policy, both internally and externally
• Prevent pollution to land, air and water
• Reduce water and energy use
• Allow the recycling of materials rather than send to landfill
• Minimise the waste and increase recycling within the framework of our waste management procedures
• Identify and manage environmental risks and hazards
• Promote environmentally responsible purchasing

All employees are responsible for working towards the objectives within this policy.

We are committed to environment-friendly products and are striving to reduce the impact of our all of our products on the planet.

We buy as local as we can for all of our packaging and services.

We have introduced brown cardboard boxes replacing our traditional white. Brown boxes are made using 100% recycled content and are more easily recycled than white.

We are replacing traditional packing tape made from plastics and elastomer glue with BioBax water-activated gummed paper tape, which is made from paper and potato starch and 100% recyclable. This tape forms a much stronger seal than normal tape as the wettened starch forms an actual bond with the fibres of the box. As a bonus, this bond means that it cannot be easily peeled back – making it tamper-evident.

We use a combination of HDPE and HDPE PCR (post-consumer recycled material) for our bottle, caps, and triggers. HDPE is highly recyclable, and recycling efforts can help reduce the demand for new plastic production. The use of HDPE PCR contributes to a more circular economy by re-using post-consumer waste. It aligns with sustainability goals and helps remove the environmental impact associated with traditional plastic. By using recycled content, it minimizes the need for additional extraction of raw materials and reduces energy consumption compared to the production of virgin plastics.

All of our raw materials come from renewable and sustainable sources and we formulate for the lowest possible toxicity and the fastest biodegradability. We will never use the following ingredients: formaldehyde, triclosan, phthalates or parabens.

None of our recyclables, such as plastic and cardboard, to end in land-fill.

We use cold blending processes during production to reduce energy consumption as much as possible.

We prioritise formulating product concentrates to reduce waste emissions, shipping costs and fully optimise our shipping volume to packaging weight ratio.
