This handy lightweight sponge is the ideal cleaning aid for a multitude of jobs. A special melamine resin foam which has a fine cellular structure allowing maximum absorption and cleaning power. Meleco removes dust and dirt from most non-porous surfaces, even hot ones.
Meleco can be used wet or dry for cleaning or dusting without the need for detergents or cleaning chemicals, making it very environment-friendly. Meleco leaves a smear-free finish on office equipment, tiles, paintwork, glass, mirrors, plastics and steel, and can be used on bathroom washbasins and baths including shower screens to remove scum. As a tannin remover on crockery or in kitchen areas such as worktops or stainless steel sinks and on many other surfaces. Being flame-retardant, it makes light work of cleaning hot surfaces such as cooker-tops.
1. Wet the Meleco Sponge with water and squeeze out the excess.
2. Gently rub Meleco on the surface to remove marks and stains.
3. Use until the sponge is ready to throw away.
Some disintegration of Meleco may occur while scrubbing.
Does not need to be used with any cleaning products. Do not use with chlorine bleach.
Can be used wet or dry without the need for detergents.

Test first on the inconspicuous area with light pressure to see if surface may damage. Not recommended for use on polished, varnished or surfaces with dark finishes. Keep out of reach of children.
Meleco is made from melamine foam which has been used for decades as an insulation and soundproofing material across many industries. Approximately 20 years ago, a Japanese Acoustic Foam Converter discovered that melamine foam also had extremely effective abrasive properties and shortly afterwards, Meleco was born – making it the first melamine foam cleaning pad in the UK!
When melamine resin cures into foam, its microstructure becomes almost as hard as glass — causing it to act like super-fine sandpaper. The abrasive foam loosens dirt and grime and the open microstructure of the foam absorbs and traps the dirt and grime leaving surfaces perfectly clean.
Meleco is produced without using halogenated hydrocarbons, flame retardants and/or toxic heavy metals. Meleco does not contaminate water. The unparalleled cleaning effect is achieved without the need for additional chemical cleaning agents.
Meleco is extremely brittle and therefore will wear away. The rougher the surface, the faster it will disappear, but this is slowed down by using water.
